I am a hvac tech and i work with mitsubishi and fujitsu but because of the price on these units i am surprised how well it works easy installation will see how long they last but as of now im very happy
Fairly easy to install. I drew a vacuum with a 2-stage pump at the unit's service port for 15 minutes. I let it sit for 5 minutes and there was no apparent loss of vacuum. I then ran the vacuum for an additional 15 minutes before closing off the vacuum pump and then letting some refrigerant from the condenser into the line to get a positive pressure. Next, I removed the gauges and capped the service port before letting the rest of the refrigerant into the lines and opening the second valve. I used Nylog Blue on the outer surface of the line flares and also on the mating surfaces of the fittings for the flares. I also put Nylog on the service cap and both valve caps just for extra measure. This is the 4th Rovsun unit I have installed. Two 9000, one 12,000, and one 18,000 BTU units.
To connect to Wi-Fi using AP, there is missing information in the manual (it is covered up). To get the head unit into AP mode to connect with the Tuya (or SmartLife/SmartHome) app, the information on the attached picture helps. Your Wi-Fi router needs to be in 2.4GHz only, or 2.4/5GHz. My router is in the 2.4/5GHz dual band mode. I just reset the head unit and then opened the phone app to Add Device. It automatically added it.
I can't say enough good things about this mini split. It was super easy to install. All you need is a few wrenches and a vacuum pump. I am really surprised at how quiet and efficient this unit is, you can be standing right next to it and barely hear it running. It cools the room fast, don't know about heat yet but I'm sure it will be fine. I highly recommend this unit for function and cost
