As a long time maintenance tech I had no problems with the install. The only thing out of the ordinary is that I have a red brick house so I had to drill through but that was no biggie with a hammer drill.
I bought two units. One was a 9,000 BTU for a big bedroom and because I live in South Georgia I was able to run the AC for a few days in late December and it cooled a 250 sf room nicely. Now it’s Christmas time the heat will run you out.
The other unit is an 18,000 for a dining room, kitchen, living room and hallway about 650 sf. Right now I’m running heat and it’s awesome!
I’m monitoring the daily cost on the Georgia power website and I’m not blown away just yet, but I’ve only been running it less than a week so we’ll see.
I’ll follow up in a month or so with another review but I can tell you that thus far I’m happy with my purchase and have recommended ROVSUN to a family member and will be helping them with installation.
My first purchase was back in May 2024. I dont have any experience with HVACs or minisplits but my family recently purchase an older home that didn't have a working AC. This 18,000 BTU was the cheaper way to go than to repair the old unit that came with the home. I decided to install it myself. I was surprised at how easy the installation went. I had the minisplit installed and running in less than 24 hours and it did well to cool our bedroom on the top floor. No complaints, works well!
I have purchased and installed four of these. Nothing but satisfied....
Overall, I'm very happy with these 2 units. We went with the 18,000 BTU size just to make sure we would never have an issue keeping the house cold in the middle of summer in central Florida. We cool 1,400 square feet. I don't know the exact dolor amount for each month, to cool, but we have been very happy so-far. And the heat pump mode, heats the home very well also, we just don't need it that often because the home is very well insulated with closed cell spray foam. We run them on whisper mode all of the time (very low speed, and very quiet). If they last several years, they will be a great investment, if not, I think they will be a simple changeout. I tell people all the time, if there forced air system goes bad, consider installing these instead. I saved at least $6000 dolor's +, with these in our new home. I highly recommend this Rovsun Mini Splits.

Quick and easy install within just a few hours. Cools my entire 980 sq ft mobile home. Cold night, tried the heat and fantastic warmup! I’d highly recommend this unit to anyone that’s handy!
Unit is keeping very large living room at 62 and even cooling into dining room and kitchen at 71, doing more than intended for. It is whisper quiet, outdoor and indoor, outdoor unit I didn't think was running it's so quiet. Indoor unit more quiet than box fan or ceiling fan. DIY was not complicated - just follow instructions and look up YouTube mini split install.
I bought the 1,800 BTU unit. I figured because it was cheap it wouldn't be very good. Came with HVAC tape and molding putty for outside and all mounting hardware. Instructions kind of suck just watch a YouTube video and you will be fine. Really great unit and I would buy again.
For now, we are in an RV and 100°+ outside means oven inside (even with sun shading). It was easy enough to install, pulls about half AMPS from what our old one did, keeps our 38ft fifth wheel at 72° even set on 75° when it’s 105° outside. Works so well, we are going to replace my mom’s 220v window unit with this same make and model.
Measure measure measure! It has 16ft of hose so plan and measure so you have everything you need. You will need a vacuum pump and grab the suggested fitting for it because most pumps don’t seem to have the right one.
One of our favorite features is the dehumidify. Prepare to freeze for a bit but it will dry out quickly! The heat feature is a heat pump but for smaller areas it would be sufficient or like us a backup option if low on LP.
