Quiet compressor start ups. If you mount this unit too outside wall this unit is the best because you will not hear or feel it. Other units I have installed customers complain of hearing and feeling when unit compresor cuts on while they are sleeping. But not this unit super quit. Rovsun unit is a plus for smooth operation. Will be buying more guaranteed.
I bought this unit instead of a Mr. Cool that was over $1000 more expensive. So far so good after about 6 weeks of use in southern USA where its hot right now (August 2024). It will cool down to 60's in just a few minutes, with no problems. This install was almost a complete DIY. I installed the inside unit myself, as well as the disconnect for outdoor unit. My HVAC technician had to come shorten the line set, pump up the lines to test for leaks, then release the refrigerant into the lines. I do not own those tools he used and am not experienced with that trade, but I am skilled enough to do the rest of the work. I use it in a movie theater room that gets hot due to insufficient HVAC vents for that room, and heat from the projector and lights . This unit was the perfect fix for my situation. So far Im happy with the purchase. We will see if it lasts a long time.
Super easy install, but be prepared to run separate power to the unit. 4" hole saw, basic Amazon HVAC kit with adapters, and hand tools is all it takes to install! Installed in a heavily modified 2 car garage. Cooling is good, and heat is outstanding! To my surprise, compressor and fan are incredibly quiet with little to no vibration at all. Instructions are a little interesting for the vacuum and leak down checks, but trust them. I also ordered a plastic HVAC line cover kit which made the outside install look much better!
Bought this to heat and cool an ADU that I use for short-term rentals (VRBO, Airbnb) and it has been flawless. It's quiet, has a small footprint and most importantly it works perfectly. I put it into service a year ago and it continues to work well. The installation is a bit more that hanging a shelf or wiring a switch but if you can do those two things you can do this. The hardest part is using the vacuum to charge the system. The instructions are good and there are plenty of YouTube videos out there to watch (don't let the ones produced by HVAC outfits scare you - they are just protecting their business). The biggest downside is having to spend another $75 on a vacuum guage but on the plus side now I know how to recharge my car A/C system! This unit couldn't be easier, better, great value. 100% recommend!
This was a little difficult to install. You will need a licensed professional to install. The unit works great. I have yet to see if it effects my power bill.
First a have to mention that I'm a HVAC guy and I've done several mini split. This product really is very easy to install regardless the experience on HVAC. The indoor bracket match perfectly whit the unit, no hassle, at all, easily doable for one person. Very quiet, not heavy at all, gloss black look beautiful and perform pretty good.
